| Leanne Wins an IT Award! |
|
On Monday, September 24 I received the New York Innovative Theater Award for best original music for my score for The Landlord, a Toy Box Theater production written by Jonathan Barsness. I’m particularly excited gaining recognition for this work because it was a big experiment in weaving music as part of the drama, not merely to underscore it. The play deals with one man’s battle with himself, personified by characters representing different sides of his personality, with the music representing his pure emotion, or soul. The award ceremony was Monday, September 24 at 7:00pm at FIT’s Haft Auditorium. Thanks for all your support!

| CD Release Party June 6! |
I am finally celebrating my debut CD for viola and loops, Spiral, (available on CDBaby) on June 6, 8:00pm at the Brooklyn Conservatory. I will play a solo set with loops, then will be joined by my friends Brian Prunka, Helen Yee, Danny Zanker, David Braham and Wayne Denton to play some of my middle eastern and jazz selections. I'll be serving wine and cheese, and good times! Come check it out! |
